Mountains of Cinder  | 2015 Reprogramming the programmed. Throbbing and hypnotic stimuli, disrupted by blankets of noise. May cause changes in vision, consciousness, and mental status, severe disorientation, memory loss, and temporary paralysis. Reversal of symptoms may be achieved through the application of tactical breathing techniques. Repeat exposure may lead to sustained disconnection from host devices and greater interaction with the physical world.

Apathy and Steel: Mountains of Cinder is a fixed-media work made under the guise of my solo rhythmic noise project Apathy and Steel, featuring video generated using custom software written in C++ and GLSL in conjunction with the OpenFrameworks toolkit for creative coding, and acting as a response to an improvised sound work created using Fraktur v.4; sound and image were captured in real time.
